Restrictions

1. Restricted characters in file/folder name include "<>:\"/\\|?*"

2. OpenText does not allow leading or trailing white spaces in file names.

3. The maximum segment length is 255 characters. 

4. There are many versions of OpenText, the one currently supported by SkySync uses Content Server Web Services API specifically we support Content Server 15. 

5. Currently SkySync does not support  OpenText eDocs as eDocs use a separate API

6. Default size limit is 4MB, the error message shown when exceeding this limit is "The server did not provide a meaningful reply; this might be caused by a contract mismatch, a premature session shutdown or an internal server error." Click here to see how to increase the default message size.

7. Compound Docs and Compound Emails are not supported, at this time the only item types supported are files, folders and project folders.

Connector Creation Settings

1. You will need to enter in your OpenText address, username, password.

Common Issues

Behavior:"It looks like creation dates aren't being maintained."

Reason: When viewing files in Content Server, you'll only see the parent/original file's creation date. Due to platform restrictions, SkySync can only update the creation data of versions, and not the original/parent's creation date.
